I think this is a fairly old bread machine from 1990 but top of the line for then. Nothing but the best junk for me! It's in super good condition and even came with recipe books. No complaints from me. How cute is this bread machine.... look at R2's loaf gettin toasty!
OMG...I'm so domesticated now, I can't stand myself! Oh boy did my house smell good today. Aside from the whole electricity thing and my need for it, I could almost be Amish!
I don't care what anyone says, I'm counting this as home made bread! After all, I did put all the ingredients in R2 in the correct order, hence allowing the bread to knead and rise correctly. Next I'm gonna get really complex and try sour dough bread. Sour dough is a very high maintenance bread and I look forward to trying to conquer it. Mmmmmm, I can just taste the sour dough grilled cheese sandwich right now.
I think it counts as home made bread too, you did put all the ingredients yourself didn't you?? Mmm, that bread looks good...
ReplyDeleteI bought a breadmaker at a thriftstore and thought I was going to be domestic too....not exactly. I didn't have any directions and it turned out a big gooey ugly mess. So give your domestic self a big pat on the back. If we were meant to do everything from scratch the old fashioned way, they wouldn't have invented bread makers, right? Your bread looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI have a breadmaker & I *love* it. It makes me feel like I'm a domestic diva (and all I've done is dump a few ingredients in the pan & pressed a button:)
ReplyDeleteThis so counts for me as I really can't cook....I always have the best intentions...but somewhere things always go awry for me in the kitchen and I end up going to my back up plan....hot pockets! hehehehe
ReplyDeleteBravo! Haha The bread maker is totally ok by me! The ONE time we've tried to make bread from scratch in the Oven at the CH&R it ended very much like that I Love Lucy Episode... So we got a bread maker too! haha
ReplyDeleteYum - can't wait to hear about the sourdough bread- my favorite in the whole world!
ReplyDeleteIt's so easy to make bread with your hands, there are some kinds where you just put everything in and in the oven :D
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a young Mom, many lo years ago, I got a great easy bread recipe called "NO excuse bread" from my LaLeche cookbook. I really is great. Anyway, I too have a breadmaker now. I love it too much. I put it waaaay up in the cabinet so I'm not tempted to eat a loaf a day (I would!) Of course, it's not a cute little R2 unit like yours! I'm waiting for C3P0 to come and cook the rest of the meal! Zootsuitmama
ReplyDeleteNothing smells as good as bread baking & nothing tastes as good as home made mmmmm
ReplyDeleteI would love to make sour dough, it's even hard to buy in the UK :o(
I have a bread maker, too -- it totally "counts" as homemade! Great for pizza dough, too. Congratulations!
