New Year New Me

I'm gonna say it...I'm happy that 2009 is over! It wasn't the worst year by far for me but it wasn't the best either. I learned a lot this year about myself and the type of people that I want to have in my life. A big relationship learning year. Woohoo!

New years eve 2009

Not only did things not work out for me with men this year but they didn't work out with men twice! But hey, I worked out personally a lot this year and got to see the 120's on my scale again! This completely makes up for my bad luck in the romance department. I also have a new motto to use when I start dating again...."sometimes things just don't work out" *this must be said as you shrug your shoulders, cock your head to the side, and throw your hands up. * This takes all the responsibility of the failed relationship off both parties involved and puts it in the hands of fate. Nice huh!

My new quote of 2009 by Helen Keller: “When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one, which has been opened for us.” This quote works really well with the above motto...sometimes things just don't work out! Lets face it, bad things happen all the time to us...it's called life! But being able to find another door to open and walk through is what's really important. This is a lesson that I have learned this decade. In these past 10 years, I've had lots of changes that have happened to me with jobs, relationships, and health. I can definitely say that I'm a stronger person because of those experiences and I wouldn't change any of them no matter how hard they were to go through at the time!

This year I discovered that I really like me! I'm a pretty swell gal...I mean I have my moments...hehehe...but all in all, I feel good about the life I'm living. And well, if somebody slams a door in my face every now and then, that's okay, because I'll just go open another one! After all, there are plenty of people out there who have open door policies! I can't help but think that 2010 is gonna be my year! I can just feel it!

Yes, it's real fur so shoot me!

I'm sure THIS will be your year, first of all because you think it will....and we can make things happen.
All the past things is just the "salt and the pepper" of life, when time pas you will think back and perhaps say "hey! it was ok to suffer a little"
My best wishes for you in this year!!

  14. I have to agree MD....you are totally awesome!
I also recently came to the realization that I like who I am. I think that is the one thing that holds us back. If you always tend to strive to be what others might like you will never be happy, Once you like yourself all else seems to fall in to place. Bravo and on to 2010 we go!!
