A Woman's Ruin

A woman's ruin is....
Falling in love with houses that I can never have. I also have a bad habit of falling in love with men I can't have. (Call me Antonio...bring your tools!!) I 've also discovered that it's way easier to get over not getting the man verses the house! :) (see Antonio, I can live without you but could I borrow your tools??) Here's the house I've fallen in love with recently.... and of course there's this guy at the gym but I don't think he knows I exist...hmmm I wonder if he's got power tools???

  1. Are all those cool houses in your area? Very cool places. And Antonio is not bad either...not bad at all. Too bad he's my son's age!

  2. Oh those houses! I have some in Independence, Missouri, home of Harry Truman, where I live like that. I can't help but wish I could go inside and see if they stay true to the era, but it would probably ruin my fantasy! Til then, I'll just drive by slowly at night and try to peek in the window...no..not a weirdo, just love to see how other people decorate. One has turquoise trim. I'll try to snap a pix. What's really cool is, I saw the old guy who lives there out front in the Summer, and his wheelbarrow was painted to MATCH the house!

  3. Ooh la la! I know what you mean... There's this house in the city where I live in. I've been in love with it for ages - since I first saw it (when I was about two or three). And I can't get over it. I want that house! It's really not even my usual style (it's from 1890's and I prefer architecture of early 20th century to mid century styles), so I can't figure out why. ;) The lady who owns it opened it to public recently and last year I got the opportunity to visit the place twice... It's also perfect inside.
