I've fallen in love with things that can be made in jars. Crazy?? I think not! I made individual pumpkin pies in jars for Thanksgiving...how cute are those! Perfect size and easy enough to top off with whipped cream or ice cream.

This is one yummy cocoa recipe and I plan to give mine away as Christmas gifts! Easy to make and assemble. My cocoa jars are currently hanging out in Sgt's pantry. Can you tell Sgt likes to can?? We are currently canning apple pie filling for Christmas gifts too! Nothing beats a basket full of homemade Christmas goodies.
Pumpkin pie in a jar! Amazing. You baked it in the jar? I had no idea and now I can't wait to try it. It is so hard to transport pies without breaking the crusts, but in a jar it should be no problem.
ReplyDeleteCoedith...Yup you bake them right in the jar and eat them right outta of the jar too! I bet your kids would love to make them. People also do cakes.
ReplyDeleteCup cakes are so out....it's now all about the jar :)

And when I was making the Apple Pie filling for 12 quarts she was pilfering apples and filling from the stove top to refill the empty jars for Apple Pi-in-a-jar! Mind you, I'm not complaining!

Thank you for the recipe- cheers!
ReplyDeleteHomemade Christmas goodies are the best! I will give homemade chocolate and Seasoned salt this year.
ReplyDeletedig the canning and jarring. Though I must admit the organization level of that pantry is making my inferiority complex kick in....again.
ReplyDeleteI love pumpkin pie whether it comes in a jar, a box, a pie tin, on a plate, or whatever! My lady's aunt bakes goodies for everyone for Christmas every year and we love 'em!
ReplyDeleteThe decorated jars adds a nice touch. We used to can when I was a kid and I was always surprised at how wonderful everything would taste many months later.
I think the little pumpkin pie in a jar is so cute! I have to try these!
ReplyDeleteHave a pretty day!
