Been working on the dining room or as I like to call it, the dirtiest room in the house. Use to be the "dog room" but I'm taking it back as the dining room!! Been painting the walls..... Beautiful color right???!! The color is Persimmon Red from the Martha Stewart line at Home Depot.
What's MaryDeluxe hiding??....hahaha why the rest of the messy room! Not even close to being finished. Lots of trim painting yet to do, furniture placement, etc...etc! But that first picture keeps me motivated to get it all done.
Here's what happens when a naked, hot and sweaty, confused Sgt walks into your shoot! He had been working outside on building a fishpond and had no idea I was taking photos...but I love the look on my face and his confusion. Thankfully I was shooting a horizontal composition!
No work today it's a stinker out there...Hot, Humid, Hazy in the high 90's. My room will have to wait till tomorrow to get finished. All work and no play makes MaryDeluxe dull, so it's off to jump in the lake to cool down and have some fun!
you're right, that color is AMAZING! you have SUCH GOOD TASTE! :) love the shot of you and sgt! classic
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha !!!
ReplyDeleteBTW, i'm sure we will made miracles decoration in your new home :)
Big Mama
gosh I LOVE that colour, yummy! I do love that pic of you and the Sgt too, just what my OH would do!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Gotta love a guy that has a "dog room"! It looks great already.
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteLooking fantastic of course!
ReplyDeleteHe was working naked outside? I've just been catching up on your blog and noticed in the u-haul picture, the nearest neighbor doesn't appear to be that far away :D. {Shrug} I probably wouldn't complain if I lived next door, as long as you didn't mind me looking :) Looove the wall color, too.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love that first picture! Can't wait to see the whole room finished. That is an absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS color.
ReplyDeleteAnon....You bum looker, you cheeky monkey...Sgt strips in the mud room when he comes in the house so he doesn't bring in all the dirt and mud he has been collecting digging the fish pond! He was on his way upstairs to shower and walked through my photo shoot not knowing what I was doing! hehee
ReplyDeleteLove love love your lamp. I too have a, well, shall we say, *problem* with the amount of lamps I seem to acquire. My current favorite is a cobalt blue buddha fitted with a square white shade. I got him at an outdoor flea market for the grand total of $5. Of course it was a leap of faith, not knowing if the seller was 100% accurate when he said "oh sure, it works" but luckily for me, it did!
ReplyDeleteLove the color-eeeek you have paint cans on the Wakefield????? haha Gives me inspiration to actually get some stuff done in my own place. I've been here 2 years and I still have a ton of boxes/bags I haven't unpacked or sorted. You got great taste!
