Spring Cleaning

This is one of Mary Deluxe's dirty little secrets. The unfinished studio room at DeluxeVille that holds all the things I can't fit in my house but can't bring myself to ever get rid of. I spent some time this weekend cleaning it up a bit...trust me this is the after pictures...I'm to embarrassed to show the before pictures. I have even more junk to throw away in my garage, in fact, I'm surprised I can even fit my other car in there!

I've been dying to get my tiki bar moved into my house but sadly I just don't have room for it in there! I've been thinking a lot lately about selling my house for a cute little ranch and I think I'm ready to do that. I'm definitely keeping my eyes open for something with potential.

My plan was always to use this space as my art studio to work in but I never got around to finishing it and so it just became a storage space for my wayward things.

  2. I know how that can be! I have a wonderful sewing area in my basement with a sewing desk, a cutting table, my fabric and even a tv with cable...but alas, it has become my junk over-flow storage! I'm feeling a spring cleaning urge coming on also!

  9. I converted my garage into my art Studio... Worked in it for about 10 years before it became nothing but a place to store my leftover vintage...

I earned all the accolades in art I wanted to, then I started a different business, one that actually pays (money is better than awards, according to the folks who want money for their vintage things) and chose to cut back on the art grrr...

But yours looks better than mine. =)

  11. I totally think if you're into collecting vintage, you are gonna have a spare room full of stuff you can't bare to part with but yet don't have room for!

The pink sofa goes with my favorite pink chair in my living room! So the sofa is a keeper for sure!

  12. I used to have that same pink sofa and a chair to match! And yes when you're into vintage you need some storage place for those things that are too good to pass up even though you may not have space for them (yet) = our cool blue couch didn't fit in our old house but it's perfect in the Hacienda!

  13. I finally found that couch and chair at an auction a couple of months ago! Pink, too. I think you can rest assured that others have storage out the ying yang..I know mine in the basement is a disaster, and I try to chisel away at it, but don't get very far! LOL
