Vintage Tiki

tiki up

Did some vintage hunting last week at some local flea markets and antique shops and ran across this very cool tiki themed mirror box! As usual, I found it amongst a bunch of other junk...pulled it out, looked it over, and for $10 it was all mine! I think it's probably late 1940's and I just fell in love with the light and dark wood carvings of the tropical palm trees and villages. Thought it would look perfect hanging behind my cool late 40's tiki bar, that sadly still doesn't have a permanent place.

  6. I love the world of tiki, Shag, fezzes, and Ultra-lounge! Finding vintage or even new tiki makes my day. My backyard and living room are shrines to the world of tiki. A few years ago this love drove me to begin to sculpt my own tikis. I am hooked!
