A vintage clothing adventure part one....

What a week! I'm so glad to be done with it. Now on to the weekend and much needed relaxation time. I have plans to do absolutely nothing tonight but cuddle up in bed and watch tv. I am still trying to get over this cold that's been hanging on for two weeks now.

Tomorrow, now that's another story. I'm planning on checking out an estate sale that has vintage dresses listed as something that is being sold. I'm not a fan of Estate sales in winter because it's cold out and you basically are standing outside freezing as they auction stuff off. It's very rare that there are estate sales in the winter and this one is listed as only lasting 2 hours. Plus, there are no picture to show what kind of vintage dresses are being sold. So, vintage dresses could mean anything from 1900's-1980's. It's a real hit or miss kinda thing. The one thing that is nice about not listing pictures is that less people will attend. Unlike me, if they can't see what they're driving an hour for they won't bother driving just to look! Not me! I'll drive an hour just for a look because you just never know and the surprise is half the fun...I love a good surprise and the unexpected!

A five years ago, I went to an estate sale that had listed they were selling vintage clothes. No pictures just a listing in the paper. So off I went to have a look see. OMG what a selection of clothes from late 30's-80's! It was a little old ladies whole life in clothes!! I bought everything for $230 bucks. To my surprise a lot of the clothes fit me. I also sold some on ebay. I still have some yet to go through. Here are some of what I found! No drooling on your keyboard! Remember all these great clothes came from one estate sale and was sold to me as a complete lot! I would also like to point out how RARE it is to come across a find like this...if certain dealers would have shown up that day, I would have never gotten all this for what I paid. I was very lucky!
A 1940's western gabardine pant shirt set. This was tiny so I sold this on ebay.
A cute 1940's rayon dress with jacket...I've worn this a few times.
A 1940's rayon dress with beaded pockets and keyhole/peekaboo collar ..In my collection.

A 1950's party dress to big...sold on Ebay...

1940's rayon dress....sold on ebay 1950's sheer day dress.....sold on ebay

1940's crepe dress...in my collection and I'm waiting to get small enough to wear it! I did finally get it zipped up but I like to breath when wearing my dresses!

I love this 1940's robe and wear it often in summer! I also love this 50's red wiggle skirt and summer blouse.

Check out this 50's Mermaid skirt (the waist was tiny) and 50's suit....both sold on ebay.

A cute 40's dress that's still in my closet and my favorite 40's wool over shirt!

This isn't even half of what was there! Some items were beyond repair and not worth saving. Some styles I wasn't into such as 70's and 80's. There's more but I'll save that for part 2!

Out back....

What's a teachers two most favorite words she could hear on a crappy snowy, rainy, freezy day??? That's right, SNOW DAY!!! Yay, my excitement lasted only a few hours because then I realized I had to go out and shovel it. By this point it had turned into rain on top of the existing snow which made it quite heavy to move. As I'm shoveling a path out back to my garage and started thinking about my out back space. To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, here is the view of my back yard garden from last summer. In this picture you see a building in the very back...this is what I call my out back space. My garage is built on to the back of that building. When I originally bought my house in 2002 that little building was falling in on itself. But my Dad said it could be saved and wouldn't it make a great little studio space for me. So we spent a whole summer tearing down and rebuilding that little out back space. I became very handy with a hammer but discovered I have no skill in putting down roof shingels.
Now the catch with my Dad was, he would help me rebuild the little building but the inside was up to me to finish. Now, ask me the big question, is it finished yet??? No it's not!! This is why I started thinking about my little out back space today and set a goal for myself. I will finish my space this year!!! I will turn it into the studio space I have always wanted. Now, you may ask in all these years why have I not finished my space?? I have a great answer...because my exBF had all his car/tools/stuff out there with my stuff/crap. Yes, it got turned into a storage unit for CRAP! We lived together for 5 years and I gave him that space for himself since he was and still is a greaser. Did it bother me that he wanted to put is tools and car stuff in there? No, because I had the rest of the house and he never complained about the old crap I would drag home. He actually liked it. But, it's been over a year now since he moved out or should I say I moved him out and I think it's time to reclaim and finish my space.

I think I should start by cleaning up the crap that I have stored out there. Do I really need two fricken Cosco kitchen carts? And really, why do I have all these lights?? Hello, my name is Betsy and I have a lamp obsession problem.... the first step to recovery is to admit you have a problem. And see that table and chair set there, I didn't need that but I was at an auction and nobody wanted the table and chairs. To save them from the dump I bought them.... I think I paid under $5 bucks for them. I just couldn't let them get thrown out. There you also see my pinky couch which goes with my most favorite pinky chair. I also have vintage coats and clothes stored out there that I have yet to sort through and get rid of from the auction I bought them at 4 years ago.
I'm a mess! But my goal is to stop being a mess and clean up my act!!! Can I do it?? You betcha and I will once it gets a little warmer out side. This is what my out back space looks like right now. And when you walk through the door to the garage you find my 1997 Cabrio stored there. Do I drive this car? Nope. But you have to understand that this was the first new car I ever bought myself so, I have some sentimental attachment to it.

There she is, my cute little Cabrio! When the exBF and I broke up, I was stupid and gave him my car because he didn't have a car. It's a long story but, while we were together, his car was so old and beat he needed a new one. We went together and bought a used jetta wagon which I drove and he drove the cabby. But because his credit was very bad, I 'm the one who took out the loan for the jetta and when we split, I gave him the cabrio because he couldn't afford to get a loan to buy me out for the jetta! In the long run, it all worked out because I owned his 1932 ford and he really wanted that back so we traded and I got my little girl back. The lesson here is....don't ever get involved with a guy who's credit is so bad that he has to hide everything he owns in his GF's name so that the credit collection agencies don't take them.

What does all this have to do with my out back space?? Well apparently I must have a lot of bad memories of my ex tied up to that back space and I think it's time that I got rid of them!

A birthday dress

My birthday is coming up here in like 15 days or so, and I've been really thinking about what I'm gonna be wearing for my big night out seeing the Puppini Sisters. Last weekend I spent a day going through my closet looking for my birthday dress...the one dress that makes me look extremely hot on my birthday and I came up with nothing. My most favorite birthday dress no longer fits. It's now to big in the shoulders and waist...the only draw back to losing weight is no longer being able to fit into your favorite clothes. Of course it's also good because you get to go shopping for new things. As many of you know, I like to look for vintage clothing to wear and so I turned to Ebay to see if I could find a dress suitable for my birthday. No luck as of yet. Things are either to big or to small. Not a great selection out there right now and remember I like getting deals on things. I have a few vintage shops that I want to check out this weekend so I hope I might get lucky at one of those places. The bad thing about collecting and wearing vintage is that it takes so long to get a wardrobe together and girls can tend to be horders of clothing even if it doesn't fit them. When I find something that doesn't work for me I tend to send it back into the universe as I think this will give me the good vintage karma that I need to find more cool vintage things. Plus it's always good to try to keep the clutter down as much as possible. I think Mr. Riot thinks I'm to cluttered and that I have way to much stuff. I say...raspberries to you Mr. Riot...I think your place is B-O-R-I-N-G!

Okay well anyway back to my dress! I really need to find something new because I so deserve a new dress. if anyone has ideas of where to look, please send them my way!

This is my amazing birthday dress that no longer fits...but I swear I'm gonna get it altered once I find a good seamstress... I dug this dress out from under a heap of crap at an flea market stand (notice the wrinkles) and bought it for 11 bucks without ever trying it on. When I finally got home and put it on, it fit like a sexy dress dream...until now..
What I love about this style of dress is the drop waist with the boxed pleats along the hips...it's a very flattering style on an hour glass gal.

In the big pile of clothes I also found this dress!! Another 11 buck dress I bought without trying on... When I got it home and tried to put it on, that's when the fabric started splitting from dry rot. Dry rot is very evil to certain fabrics and sometimes not obvious until you wear your item. This dress made me cry because the fabric and the cut is so amazing. Someday I will find someone to make me a copy of this dress.

So yes, I'm on a mission to find a birthday worthy... I'm 37 but look 27 dress!

Mary's muffins

2 1/4 cups Oat-bran cereal
1/4 cup chopped almonds
1/4 cup raisins
1 tbs baking powder
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 1/4 cup skim milk
2 egg whites
2 tbs veggie oil

Pre heat oven to 425... combine all ingredients in large bowl and bake 15- 17 min.

Muffins are 130 calories each, are made with no flour and high in fiber! Good for lowering your cholesterol! I think I'll send some to Mr. Riot...he probably needs to lower his cholesterol!

Happy MLK day!

MLK day means a 3 day weekend for me! Wooohooo! I spent my day thrifting at my local Goodwill stores. Wasn't looking for anything in particular, I just felt the urge to shop without spending money. For some reason I found a lot of never worn work out clothes so, I snagged up the ones that fit me! I've been needing some new fitness bra tops because all mine are pretty old and the elastic is dying on them. The girls are just not feeling much support and it's not much fun to run that way. I found three new bra/tops , 2 warm up jackets and a pair of yoga style pants all for the whooping price of $24 bucks. All were never worn or used slightly! I also found a cute pair of Anne Taylor loft trousers I can wear to work. No vintage finds today :(

I couldn't get over how crowded the goodwill stores were. Very busy and filled with all types of people. Thrift stores are not just for the poor people anymore. Is America starting to wake up and realize the errors of their spending ways?? I think they are. I think people will definitely be more careful on where and what they spend their money on.

Is there a clown on my shoulder?

Today I went out to the grocery store wearing the above. Is there a clown on my shoulder?? No??? I didn't think so! But apparently there must have been something funny about the way I looked because this woman stared right at me and just started laughing. I should have walked over to her and asked her what was so funny but then I noticed that she was wearing pajama bottoms in a public grocery store. My mother always told me never be mean to people who are obviously retarded! So, I just walked away. But let me just say that I am so sick of people wearing their pajamas out in public. If your day is so bad that you can't get out of your pajamas and put on real clothes, then you should just stay at home! This is also my opinion on gym clothes. It's one thing if you're going to the gym to workout or you were at the gym but if you're just hanging out in sweats all the time you have a problem! And please don't get me started on these stupid puffy coats that are so popular now....come on people, you all look like some sort of colorful marshmallows! It's just not a good look on anybody!

Anyway, I don't know what was up at the grocery store today but people just kept on staring at me and for some reason it made me very uncomfortable being in my own skin. All I wanted to do was to get the hell out of that damn grocery store! I was in such a hurry, I forgot stuff I wanted to get! Perhaps I am still feeling out of sorts from my long, stressful week at work. It was the worst week and it just seemed to drag on forever. It has also been very cold here and still is. I hate the cold. It makes me want to curl up in my bed and not leave my house! To be honest, I did do that Thursday and Friday after I got home from work.

Maybe I just wasn't ready to venture out into the public world yet. I just thought that getting myself up and out there might make me feel better. It didn't. I have come to realize that most people in general are assholes.

Mexican and a Movie

It's been a long week at work and I'm tired. I came home after the gym and decided to throw a bunch of left overs together and make some mexican! Yup, that's pretty much how I cook...I throw some things together and make my own concoctions sometimes. It's hard to mess up mexican food.

My ingredients.... plus some Morning Star Chix Veggie strips!

I'm so in love with all the newer steam fresh frozen veggie products they have out now. Very easy to use and much tastier then the regular frozen veggies, I think. Plus they have some really good ingredient combos that are low in fat and calories. Here I used some spanish rice, fat free beans, enchilada sauce, low fat cheese, salsa, and wrapped it in a whole wheat tortilla. I topped it with fat free sour cream and more salsa!

Time for pajamas and a movie! It's just been such an incredibly long week and I'm so happy to get to take some time to zone out. Next week is going to be much worse, so I'm planning on enjoying my time being snowed in this weekend!

House Projects for 2009

House Projects 2009
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Fix dry wall on ceiling of living room.
  • Finish studio space
  • Tile kitchen counter tops
  • Rewire electricity to garage...call an electrician
  • Find a remote control shade for big window in loft area
  • DIY mailbox project
  • DIY bed headboard
  • Retractable awning over back deck
  • Drywall basement
More to come I'm sure!

I try to do most projects myself. I discovered when I retiled my bathroom that it's really not that hard to do. It's also much cheaper to do it yourself. I'll have to call an electrician to check out what happened to the electricity out back in my garage. I think I might try to get on one of those HGTV shows where they come to your house and help you finish projects!! I wonder how you get on one of those shows?? I must do some research and find out...I would be the perfect canaidate. I also plan to do lots more gardening this year!

Nifty Boots

Where did my two weeks of vacation go??? The holidays went by like a big blur! I ran around like an idiot and got to spend some quality time with Mr. Riot! That was fun Mr. Riot, thanks for coming to visit me.

No, I did not get any cool Heywake pieces at auction! That evil dealer showed up and I knew there would be no deals to be had by me so grabbed Mr. Riot and we left. I just couldn't justify making any expensive furniture purchases at this time.

But I did justify making a less expensive leather boot purchase! Of course, the boots were marked as half off and I had a coupon so I got myself quite the deal. Even the sales person was impressed! I've been wanting a nice pair of leather boots for some time now but always have a problem with getting the zipper to close over my 14" calves. I found a nice pair of Circa Joan & David "Nifty" boots that fit me perfect.

Photobucket

Took Mr. Riot out to Anne Baily's for dinner and over all we spent some nice quiet time together. So, tomorrow it's back to work and the same old routine. Soon my work year will be half over and I'm getting excited for spring to finally get here!

Earthquake

No really we had an earthquake last night in Pennsylvania.  I was sleeping but it woke me up and scared me almost to death.  It sounded like a huge explosion and shook my house.  The cats ran off to hide and the neighbor's dogs were barking like crazy.  My whole neighborhood was outside on their porches wondering what happened.  Apparently I live 3 miles from the epicenter.

1. Cats clean themselves everyday

* 2. A cat matures as it grows older.

* 3. Cats rarely miss the litter box.

* 4. Cats don’t hog the covers in bed.

* 5. Cats are inexpensive. They don't expect you to spend all your money on them.

* 6. Cats listen to your problems without interrupting.

* 7. Cats eat out of one bowl and don’t leave lots of dishes around
the house.

* 8. Cats leave very few whiskers in the sink.

* 9. Cats comfort you when you are sick.

* 10. Cats don’t leave the toilet seat up.

* 11. At least when they sleep all day they don’t take up the whole
couch.

* 12. Cats won’t crush your legs when they sit on your lap.

* 13. Cats keep your ears warm at night.

* 14. Unlike a man, a cat can fend for itself.

* 15. Cats do not drink beer.

* 16. If a cat gets lost, at least it has a tag on it to tell whoever
finds it where it lives.

* 17. A cat is loyal.

* 18. There’s a better chance of finding a cat that is willing to read
a book that doesn’t have any pictures.

* 19. Cats always greet you when you get home.

* 20. A cat’s idea of a good time is a game of string and a good belly
rub.

* 21. Cats don’t come with in-laws.

* 22. A cat won’t steal anything but your glasses, your golf balls,
and your heart.

* 23. Cats drink less and snuggle more.

* 24. Each of a cat’s nine lives is worthwhile.

* 25. A cat can’t write checks.

* 26. Cats can entertain themselves.

* 27. Cats are more attractive when they run around naked.

* 28. Cats like to watch “ER” more than a football game.

* 29. You can have an intelligent conversation with a cat.

* 30. Cats actually think with their heads.

* 32. “Meow” is never a lie.

* 33. Cats are more likely to be up to date on their shots.

* 34. They will both stand outside your door and whine indefinitely,
but a cat will stop if you let it in.

* 35. Cats will never use up the last of your shampoo and then
complain that it was the wrong kind.

* 36. Cats seldom go bald with age.

* 37. If a cat fixes yours car brakes, it will do it correctly.

* 38. If cats don’t kow how to do something, they are more likely to
admit it.

* 39. A cat might bring you household vermin as a present, but never
“sexy lingerie.”

* 40. Most cats don’t like to drive, so you don’t have to worry about
them crashing your car.

* 41. Cats won’t leave you waiting by the phone.

* 42. To buy a fancy dinner for a cat, you only need to spend 53
cents.

* 43. A cat’s friend is more likely to be less annoying.

* 44. Cats never go out dancing with anyone but you!!!

* 45. Cats can’t say, “I love you” without meaning it.

* 46. Cats are ALWAYS cute.

* 47. The only things cats expect you to “put out” are food, water,
and a clean litter box.

* 48. When you leave a cat alone in the house, you know it won’t
invite friends over for beer and pretzels.

* 49. Cats know what kindness is.

* 50. Men are sometimes pigs or asses, but cats are always cats.

Mr Remy is the best boyfriend I've every had. Never goes out dancing with other gals and knows that I'm the key to his happiness. He's not selfish and never takes without giving. Mr. Remy never makes me feel like I'm being used. I know he loves me by the way he treats me. I wish I could say the same thing about the men I've dated.

On the first day of vacation...

my true love sent to me....a box in the mail from MAC! What more could a girl want?? Okay right, shoes and a purse to match the glamorous lippy inside the cute red bag!!! I can't wait to open it but I promised not to. So, I will just stuff it in my stocking and try not to peek! Thank you for the nifty gifty Mr. Riot! It's just what I wanted!

Photobucket

Exciting news on the auction front. I've been really bummed about having to miss the estate sale with the Heywake furniture due to my back. But as luck would have it, I discovered an auction coming up with tons more Heywake furniture!! I'm so excited and the best part is Mr. Riot will be here visiting me and will get to bask in all the holy glory of attending an auction with yours truely! Beware evil Heywake dealer, I'll have a body guard with me this time and I'm not afraid to use him! Plus a bonus for me, Mr. Riot can lift heavy things!!

My kitchen table

Photobucket

My 1953 dinette table was found at a yard sale. It originally belonged to a little old couple who raised four kids around it. I bought the shiny red table and six chairs for $75. The only problem was that at one point in the 60's the vinyl was reupholstered with a very tacky rose print.

Photobucket

But overall the table was rust free and in excellent condition! I was so in love with the table that I didn't even bother trying to haggle my way to a cheaper price from the little old man. I just bought it and brought it home! I then went right to work finding the red cracked ice vinyl that I needed to match the table top. The internet makes finding things so easy and in no time I was at work redoing the upholstery on the chairs. What a cute little table it turned out to be! One thing I am left to wonder about though....how the hell did they raise such a big family around such a little table??

Photobucket

My thrifty self

The state of the economy is scary and unpredictable as to what will happen next, but for some reason I'm not really worried for myself. I have a job in education and have been doing all the "right" things for years. The new craze is to clip coupons, do without, and cut your costs. But what about us thrifty gals who've always done those things? I can't remember a time in my life when I haven't been... well, cheap. (Okay, I really hate that word cheap. It brings to mind pictures of little old men to tight wad to open their wallets under any circumstances.) I'll just continue to call myself thrifty. Most of my life I've had no choice but to be thrifty.... I was poor. But being poor can also make you financially smart. Since you don't have lots of money and you usually have to work really hard to get the little money you have, you become much more careful with what you do with it.

I have never been a materialistic type of gal. I don't own the newest gadgets or clothing fads and I really don't care to. I don't have all those fancy cable channels or own an Iphone. (though I like to play with Mr. Riot's iphone when I see him but do I really need one...no!) I won't go to the grocery store without a handful of coupons. I rarely eat out and when I do, I try to bring a coupon. This has been known to cause embarrassment to my friends, but I always tell them if they didn't want you to use the coupon they would have never made them in the first place. I also tell them if it bothers them that much, they can personally take the money that was saved from the coupon and add it onto the tip. They never seem to want to do that though!

I buy at estate sales, auctions, and goodwill. In a way, I'm not only thrifty but I'm recycling too. Saving the planet as I save a few bucks. Killing two birds with one stone, so to speak! I've noticed lots more competition at the thrift stores lately. There's a great goodwill store that I go to that I have yet to be in and not find some amazing things. From vintage finds to brands like Anne Taylor that I would wear to work. If a person says you can't look stylish on thrift store finds, they're usually the people who are in over their heads in credit card debt trying to keep up with the materialism in our society.

Is it really that bad to wait until you save the money to buy something you want? Wouldn't that feel better then instant gratification using the credit card and having to pay on it for however many years it takes you to actually pay for it? I don't know about you, but I work REALLY hard for my money. Why would I want to make my life harder by making stupid financial decisions? I don't, that's why I'm a smart thrifty girl!

kitschmas mess

What happens when you wait until the last minute to send out your Kitschmas cards??? Your kitchen table gets messy and your hand begins to cramp up. Cards for my family, cards and little chocolate gifts for my neighbors and co-workers. Three more days of work till winter break! The kids are a bit crazy at this point and hard to keep focused. But in all fairness, their art teacher is a bit crazy and hard to keep focused too!

Photobucket

I still have lots of Kitschmas shopping to do yet! Wow, I have really waited to the very last minute to get things done this year. I guess my back injury has really messed up my schedule more then I thought. Hopefully the weather will be good this weekend and I can finish everything up!

I'm Euphoric

Last week I placed an online order with Sephora.  Like so many other women out there I love Sephora!  When I placed my order, I got to pick some free samples to go along with the other things I purchased.  It's been so long since I have gotten myself a new perfume to wear and so I asked for free samples of perfumes.  OMG I am in love with the Calvin Klein perfume Euphoria.  I sprayed a little on my wrists today and I can not stop smelling my freakin arm!

Photobucket

Here's what the write up says on the Sephora website about Euphoria...

Euphoria:
Euphoria is about sexiness, fantasy, and being captivating. Sexy and sensual, euphoria speaks to the woman who has the urge to break free from everyday life - to provocatively be part of an exciting world filled with pleasure, surprise, and temptation. Her fragrance is a contrast between exotic fruits and seductive florals, for a rich, creamy, seductive signature.

Notes:
Pomegranate, Persimmon, Green Notes, Black Orchid, Lotus Blossom, Champaca Flower, Liquid Amber, Mahogany Wood, Black Violet, Cream Accord.

Style:
Confident. Sexy. Chic.

Here's what I say: MMmmmmmmmmm!  I'm going to eat me arm!

Must put on my wish list!!!

Shoe clips...

That's right, I am now becoming obsessed with vintage shoe clips. What a great way to jazz up a simple pair of shoes. It all started when I ran across a cute green pair of vintage wedges at goodwill. They were cheap, in good condition and they fit me! Then by chance I ran across a pair of cherry style shoe clips on ebay. Hmmm I thought what a great way to dress up my new green wedges!

Photobucket

Now I'm on the look out for lots more unusual shoe clips to dress up my other shoes! Hmmm I might even try my hand at making some of my own!

vintage sweater sets

One thing I love most about winter are cozy vintage sweaters.  I love when I'm able to find a mint sweater skirt set.  I found 2 sets recently that also still have the original belts with them.

Here are a few others I have stashed in my closet.

It always amazes me the variety of sweater sets that are out there.
Not to mention they are also very versatile. From one sweater set you can get a variety of different looks.  I don't see how sweater sets can ever go out of style.

Slow as a hermit crab

that's how I've been feeling lately due to my kiln lifting accident at work. Oh why couldn't I have a front loading kiln?? Instead I have one I must bend over to get all the work out of! Kiln shelves can be heavy and there is just no way for me to remove one without using my back because of how short I am. Hello sharp shooting pain it's so nice to see you again! This of course has to happen first thing Wednesday morning and then get so intense by noon time that I can't stand up straight and barely can walk. Thank goodness I was able to get an afternoon appointment at my Chiropractors office. He gave me a great little electronic device that sends electric shocks to my lower back and butt and told me to take a few days off. He also gave me an adjustment that made me cry and made the pain much worse. It wasn't hard to take a few days off as I have no ability to walk what so ever. The first day I crawled here, I crawled there. The cats thought I was playing some sort of game with them. The doctor said to ice it, shock it and try not to move much. I think the muscle inflammation is going down because I can finally walk in an upright position but the pain and tenderness is still there. Guess I won't be making my auction tomorrow! I also really need to go to the grocery store. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be a little more mobile because this really sucks!

Estate Sale

I have been waiting for over a month now for an Estate sale that has Heywood Wakefield furniture in it.  I totally scope out the auction zip website and then stalk the pages until the day of the auction!  I don't think people realize how much work goes into looking and finding things.  Now the bad thing about this auction is that it has been advertised and I know that the evil Heywake dealer will show up there to try to snag up all the Heywake furniture at a cheap price but still a price that I can't afford.  This is what this guy does, he buys it cheap here and sells it on ebay to other dealers in California who then mark it up higher and sell it to stupid people there!  For example we both were at an auction that was selling a complete heywake dining set...hutches, table, chairs, desk...like everything and it went for $3,400.  Which is expensive for a person like me but cheap for him.  He then broke up the set and sold the table and chairs on ebay for $3,400 making back his original investment.  The dealer in CA he sold it to will put it in her shop for well over $5,000....and some rich, idiot buys it!  The only time I get great deals on Heywake furniture is when it's not advertised and no one is there to bid on it but me.  This is rare, see a few posts below.  So, if I can snag at least one piece from EHD I will be a happy girl.
