She Sells Sea Shells By The Sea Shore

I'm off for vacation number two tomorrow! This time I'm taking a road trip to the sea shore in North Carolina, the Cape Hatteras area with my whole family. It's been so long since I've been to the sea shore...I love the sea shore so I'm super excited to be on my way. My plan for the week is simple... sleep, swim, read, sun, sand, swim, eat, swim, did I mention swim, swim, read, walk the shore, try to annoy my brother....you know, all that good sea shore stuff! I'm also going to take some time to think about my life. I think the best time to think about the direction that your life is taking is when you're actually away from your life for a little while. I think I need a new perspective on what I want my life to be. Life is so very short after all, you shouldn't be afraid to live it because you will end up missing out on so many things and people.

Have a lovely week everyone!

  1. Have a lovely vacation hon! I love the beach, it's a good place for sorting stuff out and getting perspective. Have to say though, from this angle your life looks pretty swell, maybe you just need a little realignment- always good to contemplate it, as you said, we only have 1 life!

    Don't forget the sunscreen!

  5. Hey sweet girl, Love your blog. Too fun! I laughed thinking about when I was 13 and a half and a brand new pink swim suit (bathing suit then) and like a hotsy totsy ninny I cut the straps off so it could be.duh. Strapless. And like a sooper dooper ninny wore it to the lake when I had a major crush on the lifeguard, Philip Sams who was about 17 and of course had my little brothers socks in the bra part for lack of my missing boobies and I shamelessly asked him to dance with me in the pavillion to "Hound Dawg" and he did reluctantly and while dancing I saw one of the socks poking up and of course I wanted to DIE right there. The suit looked like the bottom one above. Oh my gosh, I am still blusing of humiliation and I am 65 now for God's sake. Have a good one and come visit!
