Today I woke up, jumped on my scale and saw 120.8! I was in my early 20's the last time I weighed that!
Then I thought...Wow, I need a new underwear photo because I know how much you all love to see me in my underwear! Then I thought no wait, my Mom can only have so many heart attacks in a year and giving her two is probably not healthy for her, so to celebrate I give you...me in my recent $15 purchase 1950's swim suit! If you have a pool, I will gladly come over, look cute, and lounge around it for you! :)
Well, um, uhh, ............... I have a pool.

Congrats on the quest for better health!

ReplyDeleteYou look great! Love it, rock it baby! But I am worried...if that lovely suit hits the chlorine...will it fall apart? Do NOT get in the water! I would cry if it fell apart. Just sit at the edge & look charming!
ReplyDeleteThanks Micky! Texas?? Gotta try to work on that for next year huh?? :)
ReplyDeleteCorn Fed Girl...Heck no...in the pool I go! I use all my vintage things...if it falls apart, it falls apart and I'll put on an interesting show! hehehe...but really I doubt it will fall apart.

You look totally adorable, and congrats! I know the hard work it is to get down to and maintain the weight that you want. At least your sassy photos are an inspiration enough to keep with it!
ReplyDeleteFunny thing is that I lost a few lbs. a few years ago and almost gave a great 50's strapless red sundress away because it didn't fit- now I've gained a couple back and the thing fits like a charm, so I don't feel so bad!
You look great- I'm getting there too! I wear my vintage swimsuits in the pool too- the kiddie pool in my backyard LOL- no chlorine in there. Heck after I get in there's almost no water in there either ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. I just found your blog by way of Eartha Kitsch. I'm drooling over your funky fresh home and you are so stinkin' cute I can't stand it!
ReplyDeleteYou rock that suit. Glad to hear you are actually going to swim in it. What's the point of having something if you don't make use of it, no? Vintage pieces have lasted for decades. Things were built better back then. Don't collect to look but never touch. Use the things you love people! You will enjoy them more.
Stay sassy!
